Pseudo Mahdi

The belief of a redeemer (A person who will come and fill the world with justice and equality) is such an entrenched belief in the hearts of the people that many people have used this belief throughout history to beguile gullible people to create a fan-following for them and thus leading to creation of cult like sects.

Amongst the Muslims, the person who will redeem this world and fill it with justice and equality is known as Imam Mahdi (May Allah Hasten His Reappearance). His birth is a point of contention amongst the various sects. In the previous posts we have proved from Quran and traditions that he (Imam Mahdi [a.t.f.s]) is already born.

As mentioned earlier that the coming of Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s) is not a new concept. It can be seen in the various scrolls of history that time and again people have risen, claiming that they are the true Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s.). So, as a common man how does one differentiate between a real Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s) from a false claimant.

In this article we will look at the conditions which will be prevailing before the coming of Imam Mahdi(a.t.f.s).

•  Injustice

We see in today’s world that there is injustice and oppression at all places and all levels of society. We see today a man killing another man in the name of religion. Taking and giving bribe is a common phenomenon and is an unwritten rule to get your work done. Stronger sections of society oppress the weaker sections of society. Swearing and terrorizing people is norm of the day.

• Calamities

We see that there are number of natural calamities like earthquakes, tsunami, floods etc. shows that there is no harmony with nature in real sense

• Economic Downfall

Today there extreme poverty. The disparity between the rich and poor is increasing day by day. Unemployment which was unheard of in many developed countries is now common everywhere. Thousands of people are dying of hunger and thirst inspite of increase in enhanced agricultural techniques.

• Wars/Genocides

Wars and conflicts are prevalent in most parts of the world. Thousands of innocent people are bombed and mercilessly killed and butchered for no fault of theirs. New and strange diseases are manifested everyday taking many lives in their clutches.

•  Despotic and Oppressive Governments

Unity of mankind is in tatters. Huge number of nations are fighting other nations. Local tribes fighting each other. Regional powere fighting day in and day not. Todays’s governments have snuffed out any hopes of humanity coming togather on a single platform.

• Disinclination towards religion

Due incessant wars, destruction, oppression, extreme poverty, calamities, man has lost all hopes in religion.

The above conditions have given rise to opportunistic fraudsters and charlatans to misuse and misinterpret religion amongst the people and to take them for a ride which again results in people getting disenchanted from religion. 

Our only hope remains in praying for the early re-appearance Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) so that when will re-appear, he will fulfill the earth with justice, peace and equality in the same manner as it is filled with injustice, tyranny and oppression.
